Hi,

I rebuilt a computer on a new box using Ghost - ie from a disk image - this included a Citrix client which we were evaluating at the time and the image would include a temporary TS license. I installed the TS client on this new box but the server rejects login attempts with "The terminal services client TR0 has been disconnected because its temporary license has expired" - ironically TR0 had a permanent licence when it died. I changed the name to TR00 but that made no difference - any suggestions?

BTW I noticed much discussion on reclaiming TS licences that are no longer required. I successfully did this by ringing MS TS Support - they required my licence key and gave me a new one in return - this was a painful & extended process but it worked!

Cheers ... Peter

I am not sure that I understand the question completley, but I will try to help...was the image of the server or a client? Either way, it looks like you said it had a temporary license, then later said it had a permanent license so I am a bit lost.

The server must have valid TS licenses installed in order to issue them to the client. If none are found at the server, a temporary license will be issued to the client.

Once the client's temporary license expires, you will be unable to connect until additional permanent licenses become available at the server.
