I have a Dell Insipron 1000 notebook computer that came with windows XP home edition on it. I really don't like XP so I formatted the drive (NTFS) and put windows 2000 pro on it. What's really annoying me is that when the computer boots up, it gives me a choice of what OS to boot from. Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP. I don't understand this because Windows XP is not on the computer anymore. Any advice? Thanks!

get tweakUI for your win2k and in there you have the options for "multi os boot" you can change the time delay and what not.. or make it so you never even see the multi os choice..

my guess is that Dell wants xp on it.. so the factory restore image is always going to be there.. unless you do a complete format.. *shrug* .. I dont know why you would replace xp in the first place.. but whatever..
