I am trying to get rid of the D drive on my WinXP Home. What I want is one drive not the two. When I use the system recovery it offers you the option of reformatting and setting up without drive D. I choose this option and still end up with drive D and all my junk is still on that drive as well.

Is there a way to get rid of drive D?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Unplug it?

Seriously, is this a different physical drive or a different partition on the same physical drive as C?

Any disk partition software will allow you to delete the d: partition and reclaim the unallocated space.. try pqmagic.... and click the try now link... debonairOne

Thank you both for your assistance. It is one physical drive. I am going to give Partition Magic a try since I have worked with that in the past.

I have no doubt that you will be pleazed with the results... debonairOne

I can't d/l a "Try It Now" version of Partition Magic. They want me to input my email which I do, but then they don't send me the email as promised so I may proceed. Do you have any other suggestion as to how to d/l it? I have tried download.com but get redirected to PowerQuest.

Never fear, I have a copy of the try it now version... you can get it here... the download is 22mb... I will remove the file after 48hours... debonairOne
