It looks like you already have a clock card in the system. If that's the case then you do not need one on this new T1.

You probably have a clock card (daughter board) on the new T1 card. What I would do is take it off and save it for a future use. This way your light will go away also.

yes, the red will stay on but you can't add add clocks, if you had a reason to clock off of the new card, then you'd need to delete the clock on 2 or 3 and put it back in on the new pri..

Clock still a daughter board the D-Channel is built in. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct, from the NTP's:

The NTRB21 (DTI/PRI/DCH) TMDI digital trunk card is a 1.5 Mb DTI or
PRI interface to the Succession 1000, Succession 1000M Cabinet, and
Meridian 1 Option 11C Cabinet. The NTRB21 card has a built-in
downloadable D-channel.

The NTRB21 card uses a standard 9.5" by 12.5" multi-layer printed circuit
board with buried power and ground layers. The clock controller
daughterboard is fastened by standoffs and connectors.

Only one clock you can use into the option 11C.
Then the option 11C syncronize with clock source and distribute in all systems including the other T1´s.
If you want to use the new clock reference, you need to disabled the other clock and switch off in this card.

TDMI card is NTRB21AC
daughter board is NTAK20AD

You mean I don't need the NTAK20AD daughter board?

Not if your other T-1's are providing clock (which sounds like your case).

One more note for future use if this is another PRI with the same carrier you don't need another D-Channel either. All you need is 2 PRI's running 1 as a Primary and 1 as a Back up D-Channel then you can add up to (some say 16) PRI's. I've only put 6 together.

I have 3 going to the same carrier Sprint, the first one is Primary and the 2nd is Backup. the new one is going to Qwest.

pretty hard rule, you need at least one d for each route, and at least one route per carrier.. the d channel is set up and tear down for the b channels..along with much more.. with that said you can't send setup for a call over the quest pri to the sprint office... a little less fuzzy when you think of it that way
