PRI loop is not configured with D-channel (DCHI) to provide
B-channels.

Severity: Info

How do I program a D-channel?

Thanks for any help

Try and rebuild the route as DID or TIE. Is the DChannel built and is the loop defined in CEQU as PRI.

Dchannels are built in LD 17 as ADAN

also, if you're going to build multiple trunks using the NEW X command and have a d-channel, you'll only want to build 23 trunks.

Also - do you have the d-channel daughterboard on your T-1 card?

ditto on the new 23 command. Is quest suppling 23 channels and a D-channel or 24 channels. Depends on what you ordered.

I'm waiting to find out what was ordered. I though they were setting it up just like our other T1's.

if it's a pri, then you'll get 23 and a d, if it's a t1 you'll usually get 24 channels

OK I found out it's a PRI 23b +D, so I guess I need a
d-channel daughterboard. there end is a DMS250.

if you need help with the d config let me know, i'll post mine

If your going with NI2 protocol then you need the NTBK51BA for you D-Channel.

here's a copy of the d channel, route and trunk for a 250 interface that is working

Here is my RDB, ADAN DCH 11, TNB, STAT LD 60, Stat LD 96.

When I stat LD 60 the trunks in route 6 don't show up, but I can do a TRAC in LD 80 and they are there. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any help.

FFMT/LCMT/YALMT: ESF/B8Z/FDL..it shows up ace, it's just down, ld 60 enll 6...look for dta023...layer 1 passes, about 2 minutes later, you should see dch estblish...your in an 11, and if that is a tmdi card, you'll need to go to 96, 1st and do a enl tmdi 6 fdl...sdl 100 (good code)... takes a few min for the full down load..then do a stat tmdi, stat dch...you'll see that your dch is down.. can't be up. go to 60 and bring up the loop...d jumps up bye itself

btw, any change on the d, go to 96 and do the full down load again, the changes don't take effect without it..

on the rdb change the ICOG to IAO, in and out. If the Dchannel does not establish, confirm setup is NI2 and not D250 or D100 depending on your providers equipment.

ICOG to IAO...that's for two way trunks..in and out...the reason the d is not in 96 on the stat is because the fdl hasn't happened..the card doesn't have the changes you made on it

john poole
bellsouth business
columbia,sc

That Dchannel is in 96, look at the last dch 011. I would agree that the TMDI or the MSDL daughter board has to be downloaded after any changes to the dchannel. The iao will make it easier if you want to recieve inbound calls on the span, IDC is set to yes i'm guessing for inbound calls. The dchannel will stay at it's current state until the loop is enabled no matter how many times it is downloaded though. One other thing, I would disable and enable the tmdi card after the FDL command for some reason this helps the card to operate correctly. It should be Loop 6 in Route 1.

Thanks John, everything came up just like you said it would.

Thanks everyone

The T1 seems to be working OK, but I have a RED CC Led lit and I have a Green Led on ACT and DCH. is this a problem? Qwest hasn't officily turned the T1 up yet but I can make calls on it.

CC is for your Clock Controller. Did you configure one on the PBX?
