I have just bought a 5-button USB mouse and it worked fine under Windows, but Linux (Mandrake 9.1) doesn't recognise the 2 buttons which are used for web navigation. I've searched in vain for drivers. Perhaps someone who knows more about Linux can help (I am a newbie with Unix-based OSes).

Thanks in advance,
Vlad

Find the make, model and OS. and go to driverguide.com download it to floopy and install from there.

You might also find answers by posting to the LINUX forum619 and forum54 but the above answers will work.

Found nothing by driverguide.com. Will look at the mentioned forums. The mouse is a Trust MI-2500X (usb connected--includes PS/2 convertor, optical, 5 buttons).

Forgot probably the most important part. No matter how tired I am, I never want to forget to say thank you. So, to all of you, my gratitude. And my apologies. It's been a hell of a day, but I'm sure that's not your problem.

I don't believe there are drivers for the mouse that will work under Linux as I downloaded the manual for the mouse and checked their website and didn't find anything related to Linux. On their website it looks like they have drivers for 98, ME, 2000 and XP only.

I tried their site, too. Nothing. I posted in the Linux forum; I hope someone will know more there. Thank you anyway. Cheers!
