Trusted Domain issues

We recently added a new domain to our network and set up a trust relationship between the original domain (a) and the new one (b).

We have a file server (c) that was originally part of the old domain and hosts the users roaming profiles & shared drives.

Setting up the AD to mirror tthe accounts originally on (a), users can log on from (b) and read files/shares on (c); the issue lies with being able to write back.

No matter what security settings I employ, I can't seem to allow users logged onto (b) to update their profiles with the exception of my account and the IT manager.
There are 3 of us, the third not being able to update profiles.

Has anyone come across this sort of thing before?
Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

Thanks in advance,
Simon
