Hi there!

We have a szenaria, where a CISCO CME is connected to an Avaya IPO with Voicemail Pro (UC Module).
This Module / Setting has been chosen, because it's an easy (and less expensive way) for call recording.

Now, the calls from the CISCO site shall be recorded, too.
Therefore they are routed from the Cisco CME through the IPO to the outside world.

Shortcodes for this routing are all done. Prerecorded announcements (to inform abt. the recording) for incoming calls are on the autoattendant... Incoming calls to CISCO can be recorded through the hunt-goup-setting in the manager.
But I don't know how to record the outgoing calls that are routed through the ipo.
Normalls, I can configure call recording for outgoing calls on the user-tab.
But these users are not configured on the ipo, they are configured on the CME. And the calls are just routed through...

Any hint is apreciated!

Thanks a lot!

For calls from Cisco to IPO you have a ICR in place where you can enable call recording.

thanks, derfloh!
But can you kindly be more precise on how I can setup this /w callrecording?
thx

look at the incoming call routes and find the one that is used for the trunk coming from the Cisco.
There is a tab that says Call Recording, and you can pick and choose where the recordings are going when a call from the Cisco comes in.
No matter if it goes back out or stays within the IP Office

if you're recording on a UCM, you'd better be recording to the VRL and then ftp'ing those files somewhere else-, and using some other product to search them (with "them" having being stored somewhere else) etc... (contactstore, RSI, XIMA etc.)

UCM would NOT be my first choice for recording. I wonder how long the SSD will last... I think the UCM in my lab system failed when I started typing this response from the sheer trauma.
