Truncating trailing zeros

Hi,
I have a query where I am multiplying A & B.
A is a decimal of (15,14).Hence the result is a decimal digit with 14 positions after decimal point.I need to bring that down to 3 digits after decimal point.can anyone please help me.

select dec(a*b,2,3) ........... should do it
