Hey folks, i'm having an issue with my ZA. Recently, this message started coming up True Vector Service encountered a problem and needs to close and an odd icon appeared in my system tray. The icon looks like it stopped all internet activity. I just open up ZA and click on the padlock (on the upper-right hand corner) and all is normal again. What's going on?
Code:
These are all my specs:
[u]COMPUTER[/u]
DELL Dimension Athlon 64 X2 3600+ (1.9GHz, 512Kx2)
2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz

High-speed internet connection (cable modem)

[u]ZA[/u]
Version: 7.0.337.000
TrueVector Security engine version: 7.0.337.000
Driver Version: 7.0.337.000

[u]Anti-Virus[/u]
Norton AntiVirus version: 10.1.4.4000
definition list updated
did a full computer scan and came back clean
Thanks!

Simply - uninstall it, reboot, install it, reboot.

How does that leave you?

How about removing it again, applying SP2 for Windows XP and installing again after that?

The SP1 or SP2 is not the issue. NAV and ZA have conflicting services that makes the 'true vector services' act wacky.

Version 7 had firewal and anti-virus files packaged into the build that caused the conflicts. Version 6.5 only had he firewall files.

so which antivirus did you disable after your install -- ZA or NAV, as part of your troubleshooting?

ZA was my firewall, not anti-virus. Norton was my anti-virus.

I uninstalled ZA version 7, and re-installed ZA version 6 -- so far no issues!
