I recently upgraded our 3300 to new hardware and MCD 4.2. Our old setup used an ASU and NSU, and I was able to connect to the maintenence port (using ProComm) on the NSU to see what was being sent the the PSTN/Carrier. Nothing was upgraded, I programmed the 3300MXe from scratch, so I may having programming issues as well, but to start with I would like to see what it is sending out. I have been able to make local, and LD calls (digits dialed and digit modification settings) but my logic isn't working for over seas (9,011 44 203 xxx xxx) it results in an Allstream recording and before I call the carrier, I wanted to know what was being sent was correct.
Thank you in advance

Troy

Hi KWB
Yes this method would work
However if you set the protocol to 'unknown' instead of 'telephony' you will need to send {000} before the dialled digits otherwise you get strange things happen as Troy discovered

Sorry Supernova but I think your refering to something else.

The {000}options are independant from the option I'm refering to. They can still be used either way.

In North America, with NI-2 we have the following:[tt]

Enable Unknown TON/NP = False
Digits Dialed Local LD OS Facilities Digits dialed
On PBX Flag Flag Flag Digits {000} to Telco
Local 10 Digits X Optional 10 Digits
LD 1+ 10 Digits X Optional 10 Digits
OS 011+ X Digits X Optional X Digits

Enable Unknown TON/NP = True
Digits Dialed Unknown Facilities Digits dialed
On PBX Call Type Digits {000} to Telco
Local 10 Digits X Optional 10 Digits
LD 1+ 10 Digits X Optional 1+10 Digits
OS 011+ X Digits X Optional 011+X Digits[/tt]

Hi KWB,
Sorry I misuderstood your question I was thinking you meant bearer capabilities fixed/call by call
So in answer to your original question this does not apply to E1 links.
Looks like you have more than 1 T1 standard in NA
The UK only has 1 E1 standard and DASS2 for ISDN services.

Thanks Supernova99 - I'll try to get a FAQ up within the week.

I'll post it in this thread for Peer review first.
