Hey all.

We recently got a NAS device with Windows Storage Server. I left our main server as an applications server and just moved all of our data over to the new NAS. Upon installing Remote Agent and trying to run a backup, Backup Exec never backs up any of the data from the NAS. The only error message I get is:

"Directory was not found or could not be accessed."

If I turn off the Remote Agent services, it seems to back up most all the data on the NAS device but I am un able to use the Advanced Open File option and therefor open files are getting skipped.

I have tried installing the Remote Agent several times and several different ways.

I have been running Backup Exec version 10.0 rev 5484. I just upgraded to 10d, SP3 today and will not be able to run a backup until tonight. I will report back in the morning but need to get this resolved ASAP. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yes, it is Windows Storage Server 2003 R2...

Thanks,

10.0 doesnt support R2
You need to upgrade to 10d aka 10.1 and apply Backup Exec 10.1 SP2 or SP2 and re-push the agent

That did it! Thanks so much for the help.

Have a great day!
