Hi,
Here is an unusual situation with a small compaq with these CDROMs connected to a CT2230 sound blaster card which has Win95, I was never able to install this CDrom and get it to work on this system, I managed to install Win95 on this computer by copying the CABs on the HDD, now I want to install Office 95, but like with other office version, when you start the install there is this demand for inspection of compatible products on the drive, I usually direct the system to the CDROM where my Office CD is (never made any sense) and it would then start. Now, I am not able to direct the system toward my shared CDrom on my other computer and so I am bugged up.
If anyone has successfully installed these CDroms on these sound cards and can help me that would be really cool, otherwise, if anyone knows a way around this check for compatible products on the system that would help me as well, I can live without this CDRom as I can do all the installs and patches across my LAN, except for Office as covered above.
