Hi, I am trying to install Front page server extensions on IIS 4.0. When I go to the Front Page Extensions manager and choose anything it displays the error: "unable to read config for Microsoft IIS" When I go to the web site properties, and click the Server Extensions tab it displays the following: "The server has not been configured to use the server extensions. To configure it, choose configure server extensions from the task menu for this server. When I do this, and go through the config. wizard, I get the following message: "The document root of the web server where you are trying to install the server extensions already contains a disk based web"

Thanks for any help.

Hi!

Just a permission problem set permission on winnt\installer

What I ended up doing was reinstalling the box with Windows 2000. I ended up putting the OS and IIS on the same partition. I know its not good practice, but it's not a critical server and I have Raid 1 anyway. Thanks for the tip!
