Hi,

I need to install Oracle 8i client onto my workstation (running windows xp). There is an older version of Oracle loaded and I am trying to get rid of it before attempting to install. I was able to use add/remove programs to get rid of the program, then removed the registry keys in regedit. However, the folder \Orant remains. I tried deleting it, but it keeps giving me the following error:
"Cannot delete Core40.dll: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use." (the other .dll files in the folder produce the same type of message).

I have full access to the folder, and I have tried regsvr32.exe /u core40.dll. So far nothing has worked.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of these files?

Thanks,
Shauna

Thanks, Dima. I wish I had thought of that. Since I've already uninstalled do you know if there's a way to get rid of them now or am I just stuck with them?
