trouble accessing folders on main server

When a user trys to access a server folder there is a error that comes up saying

"\\mainserver\d is not accesable

There are currently no logon services available to service the logon request"

this happens what seems to be randomly but usally when ever i restart the domian controller. does any1 have an idea why this is happeneing?

1)Check event logs for errors
2)Make sure logon services is started in services on the servers.
3)How many servers, type of network setup?

How soon after you reboot the DC? If the DC is down at the time of attempted access, you will not have permission for anything is it set to control. Jordan MCP, A+
