Trim function

Dear Freinds,
I am deisgning a report based on a query, Suppose if there is no data in a particular field then the Trim function doesnt work for a numeric string? what should be used such that it shouldn't display a blank line if that field is not present in the Query.

Not sure what the specific question is, but here is my take. You are trying to suppress a line from printing on the report. Well, you can handle it at the Data level and use a Filter condition to insure that the report data does not even have that data displayed.

If you are attempting to concatonate fields and one field is null, you can use an IIF() to check the length before you attempt to concatonate. i.e. IIF(Isnull(Field1)=True,"field1 is empty",Field1).

I am sorry for not expressing the ?? properly.
The problem is I have a field in which some records contain null values. If there is a null value present in the record then I do not want a blank line to be displayed on the report.

Ok... I see... the trick I've used in the past is to move my detail section of the report to a footer section. I also set properties hide duplicates, grow and shrink on as a default. I just retested the trick, and it seems to work fine. htwh. Steve Medvid

Its not working,, but do u have any idea how to convert a Number to String... cstr doesnt work in Access.
