TrendMicro Internet Security 2009,Can't open console Script Error?

Hello everyone,I need help with this error I'm getting in windows XP pro sp2.Installed Trend micro Internet Security 2009.Installs ok but cannot open the main console.I get Script Error,say yes or no,same thing,and a part open console.Some grayed out.tried to get tech support 3 times and there giving me the run around,they said they where going to email me a file from Microsoft,run this file and it will be fixed?? Well as expected no file and no email.You Guys have any Idea how to Fix this?? internet security 2009 Script error,opening the console? I install internet security 2007 and it works fine.Why can't I install 2009,and open the console like in 2007,all I get is a script error.I already made sure I have the check marks in explorer options advanced section for scripts set right.Now what? No Virus's and I ran spy ware software it's clean.All updates done from Windows Update Site.Can Anyone help? Thankyou in advance.

You may have to pursue TrendMicro with more vigor, see if you can get the name of this life saving file, maybe it can be downloaded from Microsoft by you rather than waiting for E-mails?

The only other thing that I can suggest is that you uninstall all the TrendMicro Products via their uninstallers, then manual remove any remnants from the machine, including temp files, program folders and particularly the Registry.

Hi,Done all of that you suggested still don't work with 2009 version.Installs ok,try to open console,and Script Error again.2007 works fine.Weird? I left another email with tech support,and they answered me back and,now they want sysinfo and a scan from Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2.At least they answered me,I've heard nothing more about this miracle file to download,that's going to fix it.Thanks for all and any suggestions.

Tou could try installing the C++ Redistributable Package and see if the errors go away.

I would also check event viewer to see if it has any errors.

Just a thought.. I had an issue with McAfee console like this and it turned out to be IE 8. I removed IE 8 and everything worked fine.
