Trend lines between 2 points in excel

Is it possible to draw a trend line over a specific range of a chart, ie between x=3 to x=10 on a 15 unit axis?

ive tried using moving average but i dont think this is what i am looking for....

my only option that i have found so far is to graph using multi series for the different portions of the graph!

any help appreciated!

multi series is probably the best way to go. what u can do is change the plot of the second series itself to no color.
