transition

hi, I'm trying to add transition to my project but i know that you have to render the video before you can see the effect but one guy i use to know just presses alt. and it'll preview it for him but for mine i have a premier 6.5 and i cant even drag the transition. i usually cut the video. One is in video one and the other in video two and everytime i tried to fade it in between it won't drag. I'm new at premier so can someone help me and please give me some basic tips. thanks

I'm having a hard time understanding your thread. It seems like you want to insert transitions between Video 1A and Video 1B tracks. Check out this website and view the tutorials - that should get you going. Good luck.
