Transferring files from Windows to Unix converts case

When moving files from Windows to Unix the file name gets changed. Unix does not actually change the name but, if we have a filename that is all uppercase it gets converted to lowercase and so on... This does not happen all the time and only happens when we are moving files in Samba.
Does anyone else seen this problem and if so what is the work around?
