Transfer to Voice-Mail / Bridged Apperance

I am a data guy new to voice and have found myself in charge of a definity prologix with Active Voice Repartee Voice-mail...I have read enough documentation to get a few simple things done but have come across something that is a bit beyond my ability.

CEO - Ext XXX
CEO Admin - Ext YYY
CEO LINE1 & LINE 2 appear on admin phone as "Bridged appearances"(I think that's the proper term).

If the admin takes a call for the CEO on one of the appearances she can just do a "transfer" to ext xxx(his extension) and it goes directly to voice-mail...perfect, just what I want.

If the admin takes a call on line 2 because the CEO is on line 1 she cannot transfer to xxx. If she transfers to the voice-mail ext (288 in this case) it prompts for his security code, as it should.

Anyone have any thoughts on a good approach to allowing her to take the second call and be able to transfer it to voice-mail? Thanks for your time in advance.

Try adding another bridged appearance of xxx on phone yyy and test again. It may be that with both xxx lines active there is no line available to transfer the call to vm.

You're right on with that one..thanks alot! Maybe this voice thing is not so bad after all...
