Hello, I want to transfer data from Outlook on my old lap top to my new lap top. Do I just copy the .pst file and move it over or is there something else I should do?

thanks

Dawn

Nope, you got it right!

If you connect to an exchange server, you first have to create a .PST file and then import everything into it.
Otherwise, just do a search on your computer for *.pst (you have to make sure your computer is set to Show All Files first) and then just copy it wherever you want and reopen it in another client!

You can put it wherever you want it on the new computer.
What you do is open Outlook, and choose File->Open->Personal Folders File (.pst).

You can then browse to wherever you saved your folder, and there it will be!
