I have created several ACCESS applications using Office 2000. I have never even seen a copy of the Microsoft Office Developer edition software.
I assume there a conversion process to transfer these from 2000 to Microsoft XP Developer edition? If so, is this a simple process with stable results?
I need to distribute these applications using the “runtime” feature provided in the Developer edition. Several interactive Forms are used. Does the “runtime” Access handle forms that are used for input and update situations like this? In other words, does a “runtime” operator have all of the same options (other than structure modifications) that an operator using regular Access programs has?
In general, are there any drawbacks to using “runtime” as opposed to the normal Access programs?
