Hi all,
I'm having a problem with one of our ddbb because we didn't run the maintenance plan from the beginning. The thing is that the hard drive is out of space and the log files are around 100GB. We only have 20MB free. Do you think that is space enought to run the maintenance plan or the shrink command??

Thanks very much!!!

The shrink command won't to any good if your log file is full.

Backup the log to disk (or if you don't care about keeping the log use the with_truncate flag to flush the log).

Once the log is empty you should be able to run the maintaince plan.

If you have a large database the maintaince plan will need a lot of room for the log. The log can grow up to 3 times the size of the database when the maintaince plan is running.
