There is a SQL Server database on our office server and a software package on a LAN client machine. The package was running fine but now if we open it and try to add some record it is giving the message as " The transaction log is full..........." I removed the size restriction of the transaction log on the server but the error message is still comming. Can some provide me some exact solution?

At first, try to check free space on drive where the transaction log resides.

In the 1960s you needed the power of two Comodore64s to get a rocket to the moon. Now you need a machine which is a vast number of times more powerful just to run the most popular GUI.

About 700 mb are free on the drive where the log file is located.

Are you backing up the tr log or is the database in simple recovery mode?

Is it set to increase by 10% and is bigger than 7000 mb?

Does the message include the database? Have you removed the size restriction on the correct log?
Was it able to apply the changes when you removed the size restriction?

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy.

Could the below comand
DUMP TRAN "DatabaseName" WITH NO_LOG
might help you out
