Sorry for the similar post, but the other posts really don't address this specific situation.

I have been asked to monitor ALL the emails for a given user on our Win 2k Network that uses Exchange 2000.

What is the most practical way to track ALL inbound/outbound email for a specific user? The other posts addressed this issue if the TO: address was known. I need to get a copy of every single email to/from this user regardless of where it came from or where it is going.

Much thanks!

so you want a physical copy (readable with attachments, ect) for each inbound and each outbound?

we have an inbound spam firewall that can retain the message text, ect (and is viewable if necessary - and if legal to do so...) as well as using a forwarding (relay) server on the way back out from the local lan. (currently not caching outbound mail, but could if necessary). GFI and others make some software that does just this type of thing. I know that i looked as some of thier stuff a while back and the .exe had full function for 30 days. just an idea...

message tracking is a feature of exchange that you can turn on and view the recipients of any emails sent out (as well as the routing info - what it is used for mostly...) but that is pretty generic info...

We currently use a version of Surf Control as our emial filter and I think there are some Bcc'ing features that I might take advantage of there ... at least on the inbound.

Thanks for the help.
