touble creating imposition from excel into InDesign to pdf

Here's the situation:
I've been given a large pdf (71 pages) that was exported from excel. I need to set this pdf up into printer spreads. I was going to import it into InDesign, add page numbers in the center, and do a print booklet and print to file - a pdf.

Is there an easier way?

Get this script from Zanelli, to place all the pages of a pdf into an indesign file.
