tools to log the changes a newly installed program makes

Is there a utility which can log all the changes a program makes to an XP system when it is first installed.

i.e. registry changes, files installed, etc.

A tool I use, which I believe works with any version of windows is Total Uninstall; one link is here:


It's free and it logs registry changes, files installed, etc. very nice program.

FTR I find the freebies are in many cases better than the commerical software, but that's just me. [glasses]
