I have an application that has been installed in dozens of locations successfully. However, there are one or two sites where the application, once installed, doesn't start up correctly because of missing libraries, allegedly. When I try to get to the References under Tools in the VBA editor, it is greyed out.

Does anyone know why this should happen on just a few machines and how I can make the References option active again?

Thanks

Sounds like the installations of Access/Office on those machines is not consistent with the 'good' sites (wizard libraries, default addins, etc.)....maybe having them do full re-installations would do the trick.....

Mmm..... have tried that but without success.

Could it be anything to do with access rights? Does the user require administrator rights in Windows (i.e. when logging on to the machine) in order to access Tools - References (and also the Linked Table Manager, which is currently unavailable)?

I'm not convinced this is the case but just clutching at straws at the moment......!

I think I have solved the problem.

When the program crashes out into VBA the program is still running. Stop the program and then click on the reset button. This makes References available under Tools.
