I have a piece of code that detects which toolbar button you are currently over with the mouse.

Is there an event that detects that the mouse is no longer hovering over the toolbar

If you're not afraid of going into hooking windows procedures, check out the TrackMouseEvent API.

Your get your ears clipped starting another thread. Naughty, Naughty. The bogey man comes.

This is not very elegant but, you can try using the form mouseover event. Basically, if the form mouseover event fires the mouse is no longer over the toolbar. You can substitute another control for the form if required.

Thanks and Good Luck!
