Is there a tool available which displays all ntfs permissions of a single user? For example. user 1 has full control on folder A, read access on folder B ...
We are making an overview of our users and dont't want to check every shared folder...

I have just been searching this and have found:

security reporter from softlogic.com
acl view from nativecs.com
accessenum from sysinternals.com

first one has a 30-day limited trial
other 2 are free (freeware - not shareware)

Thanx, I'll give it a try...

It was not what I was looking for. I want to input 1 username and view all the user rights on which folders and the group memberships...

Security Explorer does have a search option where you can specify a user or group and a starting point to search from. Output of the search can be saved as comma delimited text or printed.

The 2003 resource kit has showacls. It did not seem to work as expected on my 2003 server. I did not check to see if it would run on a 2000 server.

SubinACL is also in the 2003 resource kit and could be worth a look. That one is fairly complex as well and probably not what you are looking for either. Again, do not know if it will even run on 2000 server.

Let me know if you turn up anything additional to look at. I would be interested.
