On my bios startup page its lists the cd rom first, then it says "too many parameters", goes blank and then windows starts, can someone figure this one out?

Thanks

You have something listen in either your Autoexec.bat file or config.sys. Open those files and see what is trying to load. You can stop them from loading by placeing the letters REM infront of the line (to the left).

Try this and let us know.

I don't know what to remove or keep there so here is what it says,

Autoexec.bat
@echo off
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T4
LH C:\WINDOWS\AU10DOS.COM > nul

PATH C:\Windows;C:\Windows\Command;C:\DOS
REM =======APPEND CD-ROM DRIVE =========
rem - By Windows Setup - C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\MSCDEX.EXE/D:CDROM001/L:D >nul
REM =====APPEND CD-ROM DRIVE ======

SET PATH=C:\BITWARE\;%PATH%;C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\AUTODE~1

Here is the configsys.
LASTDRIVE=Z
REM =====APPEND CD-ROM DRIVE ========
DEVICE=C\CDROM\CDROMDRV.SYS /D:CDROM001 > nul
REM ======APPEND CD-ROM DRIVE =======

this is all greek to me, so hopefully it will make some sense to you.

Thanks heaps
