Hi, there?
I had lost data and recoverd data by the Getdatback.
But the half of datas are anoynous files as a .CHK files.
I was trying to change some of file as a movie file to .AVI.
Then It worked...... But my prob is too many files ..
I can not quess every extentions...
Anyone knows about a program to find correct extention from chk file to correct extention?
Thanks.

.chk files are generally useless. They are made when you shut down windows improperly and Scandisk comes on when you start and you get a message that data may have been lost. Usually this is whatever you were doing when Windows crashed. Usually they are useless.

If you do not like my post feel free to point out your opinion or my errors.

That refernece to fixing chk files is the first I have ever heard on all the years of working with computers. It would be great if it works.

I always just delete them, in fact I tell scandisk to not bother creating them in the first place.
