I have a customer that wants to have tone on hold. He has a cm 5.x S8300/G350 with tenent partitioning turned off. I changed the music feature in system features to tone, however it does not work.

The brain is a wonderful organ; it starts working the moment you get up in the morning, and does not stop until you get to the office.

The easiest thing to do would be to create a .wav file that would play a tone for him, and load that into the system as a music on hold source.

That would make sure it plays exactly as he expects.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

If you want to make it work correcty instead of a work-around because you don't know how it works:

Code:
For tone on hold, you must first define the tone-generation for hold

This is an example, frequencies, levels, durations are customizable

change tone-generation Page 2 of 21
                       TONE GENERATION CUSTOMIZED TONES

        Tone Name Cadence Tone
                          Step (Frequency/Level)
    hold 1: 480/-17.25 Duration(msec): 950
                            2: silence Duration(msec): 250
                            3: goto Step: 1

change system-parameters features Page 1 of 17

                             Music/Tone on Hold: tone
