I get a tomcat error every time I try to load Enterprise Web Server.
Tomcat, Apache, Xtier and Apache have been reinstalled Tomcat and Apache several times, re-installed SP3 but still tomcat errors persist.

After SP3 I now get this error

In jk-init
worker file = sys:tomcat/33/conf/jk/nwworker.properties
Log level = error
log fail = sys/tomcat/33/logs/nsapi.logs

The log which error message refers to is empty but but a mod-jk.log in the same directory refers to an error 6.

A TID on this subject refers to a .xlm file of 0 Kb not allowing to tomcat to parse properly.

could not find .xlm file with the same characteristics but have the same problem & error message. After reinstalling 3 times (as recommended by TID) still Tomcat does not work. Could be to do with JAVA???

Thanks for any help

Hi,

Don't know if this will help but definately will not hurt to check.

I had a similar issue where the Enterprise Web Server would not load after applying SP3.

What I found was that NILE.NLM was remarked out of the Autoexec by the patch. If you take a look at your autoexec you may notice that PKI, Nici and other related files have been remarked from the Autoexec.NCF file and readded at the bottom. The catch is that NILE.NLM was never re-added. If this is the case, reloading the files in the correct order will not work, I had to restart the server.

Hi Lou

Thank you very much for your help - it was worth a try. I found TID 10069399.

Every time I installed the Novonyx folder, there were DBSWITCH.CONF and CERTMAP.CONF missing from the user db folder. I had noticed that the enterprise web manager was showing a "failed on late ACL initialisation" error and the user page in EWM was relaying a problem.

I noticed also big problems with SP3 - after I managed to have everything up and running I reapplied the SP and it corrupted quite a few config files.

Thanks again

Eugenia
