When you upgrade the firmware on these cards does it take the announcments out of service? We are running a G3Rv11 and read that I do NOT have to reseat the cards. But I want to know if the card will be out of service while it ??reboots?? if that is what it does.

Not sure about the 2501 boards, but on 2302 (Media Processor) boards, the board is out of service for a minute or two after the download.
