What does it mean when you have your trunks of the T-1 going in and out of "Inservice/Idle" and Disconnected? I started having problems this AM with no calls going in our out. Called ATT and they say LEC etc...its up and running now and we get some calls in and some out but some still don't connect.

Have tried busy out and release couple of times...
I am also trying to find what the LED's mean in the T1 card its self...

Not sure if I want to re-seat the card with the chance of it being bad and not coming back up since I am getting some calls in...

Any suggestion?

Is it just one T-1 or all of them. I would point it back at the phone company (if you have not made any changes) Wisdom is Knowledge
that is Shared

Thanks All Phoneman2

We only have one T1 Card...I have not made any changes...

Check your clock, displ sync and see if you are clocking from tone board or ds1 pack.

Also you can try a "test board ..." to see if some tests fail. If you have a cd-rom with maintenance objects you can find the faults there.

"list meas ds1 log (or summ" + location will give you details about errored seconds. Again see your documentation for details.

Well we are going on many many hours dealing with these people on and off...At&t first said it was the LEC then it was my T-1 card and now a total of, going on, 19 hours later they say that they have a tone on it some where and they can't figure that out and can't get it off...so they are calling around to try and find it...yeehaw!

I ran about every test I could run and researched every error code that I could to find that they are all errors that there is no connection...but on the bight side I found a couple of sets that are not working :)

What a deal...we'll just wait and see if they can get it back up tonight, today, whatever it is...

Thanks for all the help...

OK good luck.

By the way, we once had a simular problem and it turned out to be a faulty coaxial cable between the DS1 and the T1.

Keep in mind that if you have one of those crappy snap on CSU modules, they have a high rate of failure and sometimes they just need to be reset. Unplug the bastard for 10 minutes and then plug it back in, reset the card. if it works, you may want a second CSU on the shelf.

Turns out it was all AT&T's problem...gotta love 'em
