After I've let my computer run, the titlebar will flicker every time I maximize/restore/minimize my window...in any program. I've tried so many things, but was unable to get a positive result. Here are my specs:
Pentium II @ 450 MHz w/100 MHz FSB
384 MB PC100 SDRAM
32 MB ATI Xpert 2000 AGP @ 1024 x 768 w/32bpp
Now, I've come to the conclusion that Internet Explorer is the culprit. As long as I let Opera 7.11 run, any window animates fine...unless I enter Internet Explorer. Something in the Internet Explorer engine is screwing around with my system.
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Explorer (windows) use the Internet Explorer engine or features or something? I've upgraded to IE 6, but that didn't seem to help. I remember having Internet Explorer 5.5 on this system...and don't remember flickering animations.
I do have Internet Explorer 5.5 on a bunch of those AOL Trial discs, but they require Windows ME. Is there anyway into fooling that setup program into thinking I'm using Windows ME?
Any other suggestions would be greatlly appreciated.
