Been searching for sample code, anything relevant, and i'm surprised there's not already something out there for this already.. so... here we go :

looking to make a small taskbar application that can be fed application names, and allow individual control of mouse orientation without interfereing with regular mouse applications, or a suitable replacement for logitech or intellipoint. Storing their individual settings/profiles would also be nice.

what this is mainly for is gaming environments, and there's innumerous games out there with 3d environments without options to flip flip orientation.

i have done other applications but nothing with hardware control like this. if you happen to know of any tutorials/links, or even if there's already something out there like this .. any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Might prove tricky; many, if not most, modern games on the PC take exclusive control of the mouse via DirectInput, which stops Windows from generating any mouse messages - so any changes you might have made to the configuration would be ignored...

most every environment i've been in and had intellipoint running in the background, the scroll wheel button was always mapped correctly via intelipoint, and if i invert in intellipoint, it's inverted everywhere, just not only Y but X as well
