Here is the story: We replaced the main switch (Cisco 3600) and it came up nicely, however, we neglected to down our servers prior to the switch. The result is that several servers are not seeing the time reference servers. We can ping the servers and they are displaying all the servers in the IPX "display servers" command. The servers themselves say they are synced to time but the Timesync console shows "cannot connect to "name of server" in yellow. Any help would be appreciated.

Try this...

1. Go into MONITOR / SERVER PARAMETERS
2. Select TIME
3. Locate the parameter, "TIMESYNC Time Sources" and press ENTER.
4. In the field available, if you have the NAME of a Server here, remove and replace the SERVER NAME with the Servers IP Address. Make sure the semi-colon (;) is used after the IP Address. Fox example...

192.168.200.1;

Once you have saved this entry, there is a parameter a few above this one called "TIMESYNC Restart Flag". Press enter on this parameter and select YES to reset. The flag will go back to OFF automatically, don't worry, its supposed to do this.

Hope this helps!

Good Luck!

Turns out the time stamps were future date and we had to reset them... painful and not highly recommended procedure. But hey, we are up!
