I have three sites (A, B, C) Site A is an Opt 81C and Site B and C are Opt 11C's. Both site B and C tandem dial through the PBX at site A (Hub site).

We have a private LD service via a state agency that requires a 7 digit authorization code. It use to be that you would dial 8+(area code) 7-digit number + 7-digit authorization code with or without pauses.

However, since upgrading Site A to Succession 3.0 and activating BARS/NARS in site C something has changed. Site B still doesn't require any pauses when dialing via (AC2) and site C is now requiring two pauses before the 7-digit authorization number "8(AC2)+(AreaCode) 7-digit telphone number+PAUSE+PAUSE+7 digit Authorization Number. Where is the timing for this done at? The customer wants no pauses or at least just (1) pause before the Authorization number.

is the auth codes in the 81?

No John, they are not. I got E&M trunks to the State LD network that processes the Auth Code. Never an issue until I activated BARS/NARS last week.

with bars in place and a pri network, i get ringback from ld calls in less then 2 seconds. something in your bars is waiting for dual timers, inter digit plus eod of dial to expire.. go back through the bars set up. sounds like you missed something. i know flen set to far out can delay the heck out of outpulse, so can spn bars.. all digits entered as a single digit. since it works right in one 11 but not the other i would print nctl, one npa, nxx and the rlb your using in each of the 11's and maybe the inbound route fro each in the 81. tandem switching in these things if nothing else is fast. where i'm using it at the end user can't tell it's in place. one case i send a npa to a cisco call manager over voip, then out to another switch then to ties then to another (off brand) switch then out the locals, bypasses toll, the users did not even notice when i made the change...

John, from Site (A) I dialed the access codes to all my other remote Option 11Cs and dialed the ACOD+8+(AreaCode)7-digit number+Auth Code and it worked like a charm except the site I mention in the above threads.

However, If I do the same sequence in the troubled site, but enter a # after the Auth code, it works! Which timer would control this? Where do you find the Inter Digit Timer??? All NCTL, NXX, NPA, AND RLB are set the same.

The timr's you should look at are in the E&M RDB. Also check to see what NEDC and FEDC should be ETH (this is near and far end disconnect. I thought all of the calls went out the 81. Are these trunks only built on that site? How do calls get from site C to A, is this a T1 or just a bank of Copper TIE lines?

Thanks Mluckie1, but I do not think the time is on the E&M RDB, because I only have the issue in this one site, since I recently activated BARS/NARS. All other sites do not have the issue. The site I am having the issue is connected bai a T1, and other sites connect via T1 and/or bank on Copper with no issues.

What I have found is that if I set a phone CLS to UNR and dial the ACOD of the route between site C and site A, I can dial the complete string of digits with no pauses just fine, or if I delete the NPA 253 from AC2 and program it as a SPN 253 on AC2, then the phone will dial like the other sites... So is there a timing parameter somewhere that controls NPAs differently than SPNs?
