Can someone confirm for me what sets the time on digital sets via CardLAN - is it Lamp Audit? If so, how often does that run?

Time drift on CP PIV and CPPM aside, we have a customer complaining that the phones are drifting from the PBX itself.

I know, I know, it's not a damn timeclock, but ... customers pay my salary. I gotta help. ;-)

Set daily time adjustment of LD 2 might be best.....

We've already given them the option of daily time adjustment or providing us an NTP source reachable from their network (they are a 6.0 customer), but their complaint is that the digital phones drift from the PBX, which is a known issue, yes. The phones only update the time so often, I just can't remember the mechanism.

yes, lamp audit has to be on for 3000 as well as ixx sets. it runs once a day.. i used a login script to keep the switch time in sync with the network time..

are you getting drift? does the phone display a time other then ld 2 ttad.. lamp audit is off by default rls 3 and above.

if ld 2 is wronge, you can adjust that by seconds or min per day..

and your right, expensive clock

Hey JP or anyone,

Do you know if the ICB / MICB would pick up the time change via Lamp Audit? We turned it on yesterday mid-day, this morning the ICB was about the only thing not updated (and this PBX had been running about 8 mins slow before we turned on NTP; it's an R6 CPPL co-res...).

We finally just reseated the MICB/ICB and it picked up the new time. I know those are set via CardLAN, correct? 2616 integration and all?
