Issue with g700/s8300 config. CM2.2 LSP off an 8700

The ISDN PRI is unstable in the G700. Periodically the D-channel drops and does not recover without resetting the D-Channel in the CO or resetting the MGP.
Prior to the D-Channel dropping, the sound of dial tone changes to a "screeching" sound. Also, once the D-channel fails, we can not break dial tone on
fax and analog stations.

We have checked the firmware and have the following

MGP 24.17.0
VoIP 55
ICC 1
MM710 13
MM711 61

I have a question about synchronization on the gateway.

The command to set sync on the primary is "set synchronization interface primary <mmid> [<portids>]"

I enter "set sync int pri v2 " and activate the source. (v2 is the 710MM with the PRI)

I tried to enter "set sync int pri v2 24" but 24 is not a valid "[<portids>]". Do I need a "portids"?

I have several gateways set up like this and I have never had to include the portids. Make sure, however, that once you define the primary source that you also force it over there. The commands would be:

set sync int primary v2
set sync source primary

You should verify the results by:

sho syn tim

Thanks stlouis1,

Looks like AVAYA is suggesting we replace the G700.
