Just when you think that you've got the hang of nice...........

At somepoint over the weekend all the clocks on our 8.9 enviroment dropped a hour....

Now I have no idea why this has happened.

So I reset the clocks last night and this morning they are all wrong again....

why?

I know that my loggers ntp to the cls, but having reset the cls time they should of all come back to the correct time.

bonkers.......

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

I remember having the same problem a few years ago if you are using time sync you need to shutdown the time service on the loggers before you change the time on the cls. It was a long time ago but speak to the guys at nice that was where I got the full procedure from.

That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Takes awhile to get used to Nice and time synching. A few things to remember when setting the time:

You should always shut down the services when changing the time. If setting the time backwards do not restart the services until the time has passed the original time.

In relation to your issue make sure all your time zones are configured the same and that daylight savings is unchecked on all boxes.

It looks like our server team were doing some auditing and noticed that the w32 time service was disabled and that the daylight savings wern't set..........

all sorted now....after another nights work.......
