Tie lines can't call out. Get a ERR629

I have a system (NEC) connected across a Tie to an Option 61. The only way I could get it to connect properly was a DID Route as EAM for signaling and IMM for start condition for the trunks. All works ok (I can call between the two with 4 digit dialing, I can do transfers, I can even call a Nortel Ext from the NEC and then transfer it externally) The problem is when I try to dial out of the trunks of the Nortel. When I do, the NEC dials, the Nortel waits for all the digits, then it gives me a ERR629. It says: ERR0629 Trunk route data cannot be accessed. Trunk route is specified by
NARS/BARS/CDP data but the route data block is not available. I know it isn't blocked via TARG or NCOS, and like I said, I can call an extension and be transfered to an offsite number, I can even dial 911 and that goes through. I have tried to access the trunk directly and dial, and have tried to dial the ACOD but it gives the same error and of course a re-order. Any ideas?? I have had tie lines before and they worked fine. By tie lines I mean T-1 Tie. Thanks for your time.

what is the ncos of the trunks on the incoming routes and the frl or the dialed number on the rlb/rli.. if i read right your err happens only when you go from the nec to the 81 to a 9 plus route? when i see that i automaticly think trunk to trunk block. the 81 sees the ncos of the e&m and denies the call.. either up it ncos on the trunks or you might try marking the route as internal.. might not help but i've had to do that to some ties instead of allowing cfxa... did you go qsig on that route, the names and msg lamps will travel across with qsig which is on by default in rls 3...btw i spent 2 weeks in texas for a nec mmg 2400 piece of plastic.. 15 years ago

The NCOS of my trunks are 6 the FRL is 3. My Switch Room Phone is a 6 and makes all calls. I have gone to NEC Elite, 2000, and 2400 school. I have a loyalty feeling to Nortel Option switches since it's the first switch I ever learned, but since I had to deinstall a 61 I realized Nortel needs to do some R&D because their switches are WAY TO HEAVY. This application was to add an ACD to their switch. The generic ACD did not give the detail they wanted and the ACDPLUS from NEC for a key system is a very functional ACD for WAY less the cost. Anyway the customer has RLS 19 Software and no PRI so I am making do with EAM Ties. What do you mean mark it internal?

OK, I have made my RCLS-INT and my DSEL-VCE and 3VCE. still getting the error. I CAN build an ACDN and have the NCFW route to an external number, local and LD and it will go out, It just won't let me dial out by hitting the TIE, dialing 9+ Any ideas??

Do you have RTA in the CDB options?

have you tried turning on the dchannel messaging on the Meridian to see what failure messages you are getting. It sounds like you are real close.


It's going to be a simple option, like John said, maybe trunk to trunks transfers is disabled.

I checked my CDB and I do have RTA under options. boohoo. After I read that I was sure that was it, but no such luck. As for janaya, it is a Tie without PRI- the Option 61 does not have PRI software. I can however call my switchroom DID and transfer it back out. I verified my NCOS of my phone (6) is the same as the DID/TIE trunks. TARG is set to nothing at all on both of my routes, DID/TIE and outbound T-1.

try setting up your access code in the NEC to access the outgoing lines via your AC2. then strip off the 9 and reinsert in DMI tables.

Trace the trunk to see what is happening, see what you are entering and see what is actually going out.

There seems to be a digit problem. If you can get from NEC to Meridian internal then calling is not a problem

AC2 is already being used, BUT I FIXED IT. For some reason I had not built this as a TIE line. I outed the route and trunks and built them back identically just as TIE instead of DID's. It works,Hmm, go figure. Thank you all for your help, I still learned some things for the future.
