This E-mail Address Already Exists in This Organization - No. c10312e7

We recently received this error when creating a "marketing" email address for our company - we also have a Marketing group - we reviewed the documentation from the KB on Microsoft's site (Article-280765)and we're wondering if there is an easier way to find this email address?

we were wanting to creat an email address of:
marketing@ourcompany.com

we received the error c10312e7 "email address already exists in this organization"

we do not have an email address setup as far as we know - how do we find the email address within AD?

So isn't the Marketing group using it?

Use Outlook to create an email to marketing@ourcompany.com and do check name. It will tell you.

No it's not. That's what we are trying to do. However, Exchange says it exists - check name brings up nothing

Alter the email address of the marketing group then you should be able to use marketing@ourcompany.com for the new mailbox.
