Hi all..w2k server, Ex2k.. 3 companies share network.. west-regnskap.no, mserv.no and madsen-regnskap.no... all west-regnskap and mserv users get their own mail OK.. just registered madsen-regnskap and tried to send mail to user who also has west-regnskap address and got the following error...

Unable to deliver message to the following recipients, because the message was forwarded more than the maximum allowed times. This could indicate a mail loop.

.. Any offers.. we have a GNAT firewall which is serviced by an external firm and they have checked out all OK... DNS appears to be OK... the error message tells me it should be an error with exchange although the reason i am posting is because i aint no exchange whiz... Thanks for any pointers in advance...

I got the same message, when i mistankely configured at connector, when i needed no connector. Apparently i configured the connector to point to the only bridgehead available...itself. and that made the loop mentioned. Maybe you misconfigured a connector ?

i will double check but the other 2 domains work perfectly and all i have done is add a third domain name hoping it would work the same...

I tried to remove the domain name but its still the same error..

IN the domain listings it is as follows..

* (the star which i assume means everything)
west-regnskap.no
mserv.no
and madsen-regnskap.no

at the bottom of the page it is ticked for allow mail to pass to these domains or something..
