That BIOS feature determines the clock speed of the processor when it is in the Suspend To RAM (STR) power saving mode. It has no effect when the processor is in normal active mode, and the freezing problem is being caused by something else.
If the system always freezes when the CPU temp reaches 35 C, then it's possible that the CPU temp probe is either faulty or not correctly contacting the CPU die, and the CPU may be overheating.
Check the orientation of the probe. If it appears to be correctly touching the bottom of the CPU die, then remove the thermal compound with high purity alcohol(91% or higher), and reapply Arctic Silver.
If no luck, then remove the computer's cover and run an external fan. If that works, then the system either needs an additional case fan or 2, or higher capacity fans. Recommended locations are lower front of the case and upper rear.
If the external fan does not work, then make sure that nothing is overclocked and only Default setings are used in BIOS.
If those are ok, then run Memtest-86 to check the memory.
