I am working on a hot project that will provide services to a new remote office. The proposed solution, thus far, has been to put an IP Office into the remote location, then connect it via T1 to our Definity G3si. The remote office will have 8 people initially, but I am planning for 20, as things tend to expand here.
In looking at the abilities of our G3si, I am wondering if we really need to go with a completely seperate IP Office switch. Since our G3si has two CLAN cards (TN799DP) and our software is in R11, could I just install a MedPro (TN2302AP), buy the appropriate number of RTU licenses, and run the IP phones across the T1?
Perhaps I am not properly understanding things here, if so, please show me the error of my ways. I am still VERY new to the telecom and Avaya world.
Thanks!
